During the Summer of 2025, I had the opportunity to work as the photo intern for the Alexandria Times. Being a modest newspaper for a satellite city of Washington, DC, my expectations were limited. However over the months I spent in Alexandria I was able to document a vibrant community that directly contrasted the harsh and divisive political and social landscape I came to be familiar with in the nation's Capital. Diversity is a strength, family is a necessity, and love is a cornerstone in Alexandria.
